Lily-Rose Depp, Johnny Depp’s Daughter, Chastised by Italian Model Vittoria Ceretti for Her Remarks About Nepotism. Says “You have no idea…”

Nepotism isn’t just a hot-button issue in Bollywood or the Indian film industry; Hollywood is tackling it as well, encouraging industry outsiders to speak up and giving power back to those who have it. Lily-Rose Depp, the daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis, recently opened up about her encounter with the N-word, which has caused a stir and has already been addressed by Italian model Vittoria Ceretti.

Vittoria has worked with brands such as Prada, Versace, and Chanel, and she is one of the most beautiful people to grace the covers of Vogue. She has been an outsider who has made a name for herself through her talent and abilities. Lily’s interview forced her to open up about the difficulties she has faced, as have many others.

She didn’t address Johnny Depp’s daughter by name, but she did mention how she happened upon an interview with a “so-called nepo baby” right after Lily-Rose Depp’s interview on the same topic. According to a Glamour report, all of this hasn’t gone down well with Italian model Vittoria Ceretti.

Let’s start with what part of Lily-Rose Depp’s recent interview triggered this reaction. Johnny Depp’s daughter told Elle, “The internet seems to care a lot about that kind of stuff.” People will have preconceived notions about you or how you got there, and I can assure you that nothing other than being right for the part will get you the part.

The internet is far more concerned with who your family is than with who is casting you in roles. You may get your foot in the door, but it is still just a foot in the door. There will be a lot of work to do after that.”

In response, Vittoria took to Instagram and posted a note allegedly directed at Lily-Rose Depp, according to Glamour, which began, “I just want to share a thought here because I can.” “I happened upon an interview with a so-called ‘nepo baby,’ or whatever you call it.”

“You can tell me your sad little story about it (even at the end of the day, you can still go cry on your dad’s couch in your Malibu villa), but how about not being able to pay for your flight back home to your family?” Vittoria continued. Waiting hours for a fitting/casting only to see a nepo baby walk past you from the warm seat of her/his Mercedes, with her/his driver and her/his friend/assistant/agent looking after HER/HIS MENTAL HEALTH. You have no idea how much it takes to gain people’s respect. IT WILL TAKE YEARS. You just get it [for] free on the first day.”

“I have many nepo baby friends whom I respect, but I can’t stand listening to you compare yourself to me.” it concluded.

I didn’t come into this world on a pillow with a view. I know it’s not your fault, but please remember and appreciate where you came from.”
