Anne Hathaway’s image has changed dramatically over the past few months, and Andy Sachs, the character she portrayed in The Devil Wears Prada, would be proud of how far she has come. She dominates the front row at fashion shows all over the world and is a supporter of new fashion trends, so there is no way we can resist naming her a fashion icon right now. In fact, we’re going to venture a guess that if Miranda Priestly had seen her most recent appearance, she might have approved of her as well.

The recent Elle Women in Hollywood Gala included a dress with a surprise in the back, chosen by the 39-year-old Hollywood A-lister. Anne picked a garment from Ralph Lauren’s Spring 2023 collection that has a timeless silhouette, a touch of sparkle, and some fun. The column-shaped black silhouette had a rounded neckline and was adorned with glittering net. Her silky black heels gave her ensemble a trendy appearance. The only thing moving it forward was what was behind it. In Anne’s dress, a single sparkling strap ran down the centre of the back and scooped up to the waist, with cutouts on either side. A few rings and a draped necklace subtly accentuated the brilliance of her outfit.

She had newly cut “Andy Sachs” bangs that framed her face, and her hair was done in waves. She went with lined eyes and flushed cheeks and a glossy red lip.

Miranda merits a gold star for this, don’t you think?
